ok i went back and really fine tuned this game and the mini games in it, i was really aggrivated at how hard i made it, the difficulty ruined the game, no major rewrites but i made alot of minor changes (i did reprogram the boundry code in gangwars ex, it was using v3 grid code i think, when i updated it it went from 700 lines to 300.) minor changes like your wanted level decreases every morning, theres always food in the fridge, you can meet veronica any day after 3pm except on weekends and you dont need to ask her out

EDIT: The cheat code for money only works one time. Is it supposed to be like that?

yea the money cheat can only be done once.

i expected people to test this for me and noone complained about the difficulty so i never thought about it till i played it. prices were to high so i lowered those i also made it alot easier to bribe the principle and police, so as long as you have 50$ you dont need to goto school at all just keep paying bribes

Why did you compile it using SilverCreator v1.5?

No one should be using v1.5. It is extremely outdated. Anyone can steal your scripts, and the scripts run 10x slower compared to v2.0. The apps do not run natively on Intel Macs and do not run at all on Windows.

BUG: On the second day I went to school, and picked eat lunch, but I died right after eating the lunch. Right in the middle of dying, it asked me the Lincoln question again. Then it said Veronica was impressed, then I died exactly two more times.

i found it, that is a bug, but it doesnt alter gameplay, what happens is: if you go to class with hardly any health left and your hunger meter empty by the time you go to lunch wich is a few hours later you will be dead, the bug is it doesnt check your stats till after you eat and your health is already at zero, i fixed it, i also fixed a bug with the ipod, heres the update

WATCH YOUR HUNGER METER, always have sandwichs on you

Stan's World 2 is the best SC game I have ever played.  For that matter, it's the best card-based game I've ever played.  Of course, part of the reason that I like it is because it's the sequel to a game I made when I was a kid... but even if that wasn't the case, I think I would still like it a lot.  This is simply a really good game.

The writing is excellent.  It has an edge to it, but it also has a sense of innocence.  Like for example, you can steal a gun and use it to rob a convenience store, but you never shoot anybody.  And also, the goal of the game is to hook up with Veronica, but there's no "hot coffee" scene, if you know what I'm referring to.  (or is there?  lol)  It's also much more believable than the original: there's no getting sucked into an arcade game, no saving the world from a demon inside the machine, or anything weird like that.  This is very good.  SW2 is much more tasteful and is better balanced than the original, and I'm glad you made it that way.

The graphics, as in all Eqwanox games, are amazing.  Stan's expressions are the best part.  The image of Stan holding the gun is hilarious to me, I just can't describe it.  It's like the euphoria of the moment is jumping out of the screen.  "I have a GUN... this changes EVERYTHING!!"  The rest of the game looks good also, but the rendering of Stan is what I really enjoy.  Also, I'm pleased that Veronica has a forehead.  I know that's something I forgot to give her in SW1.  LOL.   Cheesy

The coding and the gameplay are also very solid.  There are a couple of bugs here and there, but they're mostly insignificant, and usually avoidable.  Really, it's impressive that such a complex game has so few bugs.  I like how it focuses on managing time and various resources.  It's a really challenging game, and that makes it fun.  Even with the cheat codes it's still hard.  I also like how you can play through it in different ways, focusing on certain things and neglecting others.  This gives it a lot of replay value.

I give it a 5 out of 5!

I haven't found a good way to convert System 7 to any other format.

It looks like I'm going to have to write a byte for byte converter from scratch - reverse engineering the file format, extracting the raw sound information and then writing it into an AIFF file, and then importing that as the sound.

cool! thanks circ!  Smiley  your review really captures what i was going for. whats next, hmmm....(stans world 3: mid life crisis, where you have divorce veronica without her taking all your money and kids)

i wonder where the real veronica is now, she has no idea what a celebrity she is on the forums Grin

while fixing the ipod bug i created another ipod bug, when you use the ipod it repleneshes your health but DOESNT drain your hunger meter, i actually like that, so illl leave that in there
